The website is new and will generally contain idle chatter and pictures of people and places.

The boat should be ready by early May and we hope to get into Europe by late summer 2003.

Of course this may eventually change when we get afloat in Europe but our current email address and mobile numbers [presently 07759 676 707 for David and 07803 575 417 for Pamela] will always be on the website.

Our main aim is to take time out (I think this is modern speak for not working in a proper job) to tour the inland waterways of Europe and in particular Southern France.

As mentioned earlier, the boat should be ready by early May and we hope to get into Europe by late summer, by which time all problems and gremlins should be sorted out (fingers crossed).

"Lea Crest" has taken its name from our present home and hopefully will bring us both as many happy times as the house has done.

The boat is approximately 40 feet in length by 14 feet wide.

At present the shell is finished and painted, the engine is in place and the fitting out is under way. Insulation, wiring and lining the inside is in progress just now.

I will be retiring from work on Friday the 28^th March and Pamela retires one month later.
