The choice of power is really down to individual choice and the intended use of your boat. With the low consumption of modern 240v domestic equipment it is quite feasible to use this type of equipment when moored where shoreside supply voltage is available and can be powered by invertor or generator when underway.
Dual voltage equipment is also available powered by a 240v shore side supply when available but reverting to a 12v supply when underway.
Another alternative is dual powered LPG/240v fridge/freezers. Although fridges of this type at one time did raise certain safety issues in a marine environment, new regulations in relation to design and installation have allieviated these problems and now make these fridges a very attractive option. Not only are these fridges extremely efficient to run on both LPG or 240v but their designs do not incorporate a compressor making them extremely quiet when running, the lack of moving parts also means the have a reputation for reliability and longevity
We can also supply chest freezers and mini chest freezers that can be incorporated into otherwise dead spaces under seating beds etc.
