About Us

Ledgard Bridge has been building quality boats since our founding in 1990. We build narrowboats of various styles, including Traditional, Semi-Traditional, Cruiser and Tug, as well as wide beamed vessels- Broadened Narrowboat, Barge and even French or Dutch styles! The main body of our work is for the private individual but we also build for other fitters, fleet operators, boat share companies and have constructed MSA (Marine Safety Agency) approved passenger carrying craft and other commercial vessels.

We pride ourselves in producing fully fitted boats, but we also supply boats to any stage of completion. We can build hulls for customers to fit out themselves - this may be done on our hardstanding area or wharf, where we can assist with advice and the supply of fittings, or at the owner's base or mooring. We also undertake repairs and alterations including refits, extensions and repainting.

Our customers choose us because we are flexible and we listen! We spend a lot of time discussing people's ideas and requirements, planning layouts and incorporating any special features. We are experienced in adapting our craft for special physical needs and can fit ramps, lifts and arrange access and layout to suit a particular need (Registered disabled persons can qualify for VAT relief).
